A mobile ad hoc network consists of individual mobile nodes communicating via wireless link. The node which refuses to share their own resources but gets benefit from other nodes, are called selfish or misbehaving nodes. The nodes in MANET are mobile with changing topologies. Performance of network may get affected due to these selfish nodes like scarcely available battery-based energy and node misbehaviors may exist. In this paper, the 2ACK scheme is used to detect the misbehaving nodes. It sends two-hop acknowledgment packets in the opposite direction of the routing path. 2ACK scheme reduces additional routing overhead by acknowledging fraction of the received data packets.
