In order to develop EDA experimental systems based on FPGA/CPLD, and reflect its application in digital circuit design. The typical digital circuits are designed in this paper by using the VHDL as hardware description language, taking Quartus II as software development tools, taking FPGA of Altera as design carrier, with top-down design approach. The circuit design process shows that EDA experimental system can achieve digital circuits and then the medium and large-scale digital system can be designed with digital circuits, and VHDL language has the apparent feature of good behavior description ability and independence.
