Distributed File System

In this paper the authors will give an overview about Distributed File System [DFS], a classical model of a file system dispersed over a multiple machines. It deals with the storage of file on the basis of client-server architecture .i.e. a node asks for some information the message is passed over the network and the corresponding hits are displayed. It's main purpose involves sharing of dispersed files. In DFS, one or more central servers store files that can be accessed, with proper authorization rights, by any number of remote clients in the network.
