Information Security is a broad term that refers to protection of assets to reduce risk exposure by applying those appropriate controls. This is done addressing one or more CIA security pillars and is usually restrictive by nature opposing to functionality features of systems and environments. This paper discusses how security issues affects kids and teenagers in their daily use of Internet communication tools and their risk profile. Understanding their behavior and security threats exposure is part of an ongoing state-wide project here described that delivers security awareness training and performs surveys at school classes.
