Periodic training sequence based carrier frequency offset estimate in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems is discussed. By exploiting the independent conditional Probability Density Functions (PDF) of different sub-blocks in a received training sequence, a new complexity efficient carrier frequency offset estimator is proposed. The same accuracy as that of Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE) proposed by a researcher can be achieved in the proposed algorithm with a complexity of only about 4/(3M-2) that of the latter (\"M\" represents the number of sub-blocks that a training sequence comprising).
