Binary Information Press
A framework of the personalized Web information retrieval is proposed, which is able to capture user browsing behavior and then exploited the technique of data mining to mine frequent browsing access patterns from user browsing behavior. The proposed mining approach starts with the identification of the type of users who are interested in some specific type of Web pages. Less interesting or redundant generalized profile association rules are then pruned to form a concise rule set. The resultant rule set is then used for Web page ranking. A novel personalized web page ranking algorithm called PWPR is proposed with the idea of adjusting the ranking scores of Web pages in accordance with user preferences mined from user browsing behavior.
