In today's large-scale Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs), the main factors impacting the launch of voice quality transmission services are to obtain a real-time simulation and acceptable Quality of Service (QoS). The applications can include wireless mesh infrastructure for broadband Internet access supporting multimedia services, visual sensor networks for surveillance, and disaster-relief networks. The present paper appraises the routing strategies of the three routing protocols vis. AODV, OLSR and TORA and compares their performance on varying the number of nodes and mobility models.
