Now-a-days multimedia or audio watermarking has attracted increasing interest from many areas as the data security and copyright protection issues are becoming increasingly important. Three important things that should be considered in watermarking systems are imperceptibility, robustness against various attacks, and data rate of the watermark. In this paper, a new adaptive audio watermarking algorithm based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is introduced. The audio signal is divided into frames and each one is decomposed adaptively, by EMD, into intrinsic oscillatory components called Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs).
