In this paper, the authors investigate the impact of multiple antennas on the end-to-end performance of an Amplify-and-Forward (AF) fixed relay over flat Rayleigh fading channel. The expression for the outage probability is first derived. The average bit error rate for the Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK) modulation is also obtained based on Moment Generating Function (MGF) method. It is found that the end-to-end performance significantly depends on the numbers of transmit and receive antennas.
