Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are the key technology for monitoring and communicating with the physical environment. Data aggregation is the key challenge to make energy constraints of sensor node to increase network life time. Since sensor nodes are densely deployed, redundant data may occur. Clustering the network provides effective solution for such issues and is an important way of managing large number of sensor nodes. The authors proposed a new energy efficient and connectivity based clustering scheme for multicast routing in wireless sensor networks named as E2C4.
