Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) consists of numerous tiny sensors deployed at high density in regions requiring surveillance and monitoring. Data dissemination protocols are used to transfer the data from source node to sink node. The most important issue in wireless sensor network is to save sensor node's energy. Because sensor nodes are powered by battery. In this paper, the authors try to improve the sensor's network life time and other performance metrics by vary sensor's node communication distance between 100 to 250 m and also vary the transmitted packets inter-arrival time. They find the best suitable transmission range and packet inter-arrival time in which lifetime of sensor network and other considered performance factor had better results.
