Energy Entropy-Based Clusterhead Selection Algorithm for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
A mobile ad hoc networks is a dynamic wireless network that can be formed without the need for any pre-existing infrastructure in which each node can act as a router. Clustering is an effective topology control approach in mobile ad hoc networks, prolonging the lifetime and improving the capability of networks. In order to maintain the stability of clusters, energy of mobile nodes and connectivity are taken as the basis of clusterhead election. The authors consider the problem of appropriate clusterhead selection in mobile ad hoc networks and sensor networks. This paper proposes Energy Entropy-based Clusterhead selection Algorithm for ad hoc networks (EECA).
