Enhanced Analysis of Spread Spectrum Schemes in Wireless Mesh Networks
Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are the networks consist of routers (access points), mobile or fixed nodes and a backbone network. IEEE 802.16 mesh network is a promising next generation wireless backbone network. In this paper, an enhanced wireless mesh network has been designed using different spread spectrum schemes such as DSSS and FHSS by means of OPNET 14.0 and a comparison is carried out for both the schemes viz. Performance parameters such as medium access delay, throughput, retransmission delay and traffic load.
