Enhanced E-Mail Authentication Against Spoofing Attacks to Mitigate Phishing

Phishing is the combination of social engineering and technical exploits which has adverse effects aiming at the monetary gain of the attacker (phisher). E-mail authentication is a technology which helps to stem the tide of spam, e-mail spoofing, and phishing. Email spoofing is a technique used by hackers to hide their identities which plays a major role in phishing which poses to be an authentic or legitimate user. Phishing attacks use spoofed emails and fraudulent websites designed to fool recipients into divulging personal financial data such as credit card numbers, account usernames and passwords, social security numbers, etc.
