Error Performance of an STTC WCDMA System on a Frequency Selective MIMO Fading Channel
In this paper, the authors have considered a QPSK STTC coded WCDMA system with K users in a cell. The binary information data for k user are STTC encoded and the coded QPSK symbols are transmitted from multiple transmit antennas to multiple receive antennas. This paper focus on a synchronous downlink WCDMA system in a frequency selective fading channel. They assumed that the number of resolvable multipath for all the channels is the same. As the maximum-likelihood (ML) detector is too complex, they consider a simple receiver structure. The space-time matched filter detector demodulates the received signal using the knowledge of the kth user's spreading sequence, timing and channel information for each transmit antenna.
