A wireless network of decentralized type with a gathering of wireless nodes is referred as Wireless Ad-hoc NETwork (WANETs). Reduction in radio interference and improvement in communication throughput the authors can achieve by the use of directional antennas in wireless ad-hoc network. Deafness and new hidden terminal problem causes degradation in performance, which is introduced by directional antennas in wireless media access control. To solve these problems, they can propose some protocols like circular RTR directional mac protocol to solve the above problems.
