Everyday Values: The Harley-Davidson Code of Business Conduct was created for and applies to the Board of Directors and all employees of Harley-Davidson, Inc., including those of Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Buell Motorcycle Company, Harley-Davidson Financial Services and Harley-Davidson subsidiaries worldwide. This Code of Business Conduct updates our 1992 version and is intended to promote honest and ethical conduct?including the appropriate handling of actual or apparent conflicts of interest with regards to personal and professional relationships. It addresses a wide range of activities and situations in which one may need to make decisions. Some questions are discussed to help one decide which path to take. Although it is complemented by other policies, procedures and laws, the Code cannot address all the situations one may encounter. If one finds himself in need of additional guidance, he should contact the supervisor, the human resources or legal department, or the Legal department of Harley-Davidson, Inc. One may encounter a situation in which he believes the Company should consider making an exception to a Code of Business Conduct guideline. If one seeks a conflict of interest waiver or an exception to a Code guideline, he must obtain the advance approval of the General Counsel of Harley-Davidson, Inc. Everyone should remember that the company will play a role in protecting the legacy for generations to come.
