Today’s datacenters need to be agile as well as cost effective. To accomplish these goals, many are turning to virtualized infrastructures that speed provisioning while eliminating the need to purchase excess capacity. To support these environments, resource-strapped IT departments are turning to third-party service providers. If HP can address the challenges highlighted in this paper, IDC believes the company has a significant opportunity for success in the important market for datacenter support services.
