Forrester: Total Economic Impact of HPE SimpliVity HCI
Hewlett Packard Enterprise provides hyperconverged infrastructure solutions that help its
customers increase the operational efficiency of IT infrastructure and data
services. HPE commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total
Economic Impact™ (TEI) study and examine the potential return on
investment (ROI) enterprises may realize by deploying hyperconverged
infrastructure. The purpose of this study is to provide readers with a
framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of HPE SimpliVity on
their organizations.
To better understand the benefits, costs, and risks associated with this
investment, Forrester interviewed several customers with years of
experience using HPE SimpliVity. HPE helps its customers integrate all
infrastructure services in virtualized environments onto x86 building
blocks.
Prior to using HPE SimpliVity, the customers faced expensive upgrades to
their existing server and storage infrastructure, increasing complexity to
keep up with best practices for backup/recovery and disaster recovery,
and rapidly growing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployments.
Overall, using HPE SimpliVity resulted in reduced costs of 69%. The IT
manager at a financial services firm told Forrester, “I’m able to spend more
time finding better solutions for the business instead of spending it on day-to-
day maintenance.”
