Mobile communication systems of today provide increased availability, miniaturization and enhanced data rates. In this paper, the authors introduce a MobiMinder, a location based reminder application that runs on mobile phones. They describe the design of MobiMinder and elaborate how this design influences development of a more comprehensive location -based reminder system. The paper also reveals that location-based reminders are useful because people use location in information in many activities. Further associating audio messages or pictures with reminders would offer greater convenience to the people.
