Gaspard2: From MARTE to SystemC Simulation

To efficiently use the tremendous amount of hardware resources available in next generation Multi-Processor System-on-Chip (MPSoC), new design methodologies and tools are needed to reduce the development complexity of such systems. In this paper, the authors present an efficient MPSoC design environment, Gaspard2. It uses the new standard MARTE (Modeling and Analysis of Real-Time and Embedded systems) profile for high level system representation. Gaspard2 is based on a Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) methodology allowing moving from the primary modeling form to an executable platform.
