Vehicular Ad hoc NETwork (VANET) is a special case of MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETwork) which involves the communication between moving vehicles. The aim of the VANET routing protocol is to provide efficient routing mechanism, in order to find shortest path between a source and destination for the efficient transmission of data. In this new approach, each and every node in the network would forward the geographical information when the node nearly approaches the signal area. The node within the signal area broadcast the GPS details to all the vehicles which come in the range.
