The authors study transmission over multiple-antenna block-fading channels with imperfect channel state information at both the transmitter and receiver. Specifically, they investigate achievable rates based on the generalized mutual information. They then analyze the corresponding outage probability in the high signal-to-noise ratio regime. The block-fading channel is a widely-used model to represent transmission over slowly-varying fading scenarios. The channel is non-ergodic and the reliability of transmission is limited by the information outage probability .The majority of works on block-fading channels studied the outage probability assuming perfect Channel State Information (CSI).
