Scheduling is a critical part of hardware and software systems. In Data acquisition systems, heterogeneous multi-channel signals are scheduled. Fixed sampling rates for all channels are not the optimal solution. It is proposed to assign different sampling rates to each channel. The fidelity of the proposed Scheduler-on-Chip (SchoC) is increased by using reconfigurable chip technology, where flexibility, concurrency, speed and reconfiguration can be achieved in hardware. Performance evaluations show that the speed of the proposed SchoC is 24% faster than a comparable software-based scheduler.
