TV show hosts are highly trained and experienced professionals that lead many different types of television shows from game shows to reality shows. TV show hosts typically need at least a bachelor degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or other related field and sufficient work experience. Prospective TV show hosts usually complete courses in mass communications, television broadcasting, broadcast journalism, and public speaking. Employment of TV show hosts is expected to decline slowly, decreasing 4% from 2008 to 2018.
