In this paper, the authors discuss the use of Hybrid Modular Redundancy (HMR) architecture for making critical system to function 24x7 365 days. The HMR was designed mainly for fault-tolerant critical systems where faults will not impair the continuous services rendered by the critical systems. This thereby exhibits highly varying and dynamic system characteristics suitable for any critical systems craving high fault tolerance and very high availability. This paper presents a detailed dependability analysis of the model and it was equally simulated.
