In this paper, the authors explain x-rays a hybrid technique for enhancing Quality of Service (QoS) technique, a medium access scheme that can provide virtually collision-free environment for an infrastructure high-speed wireless network. While the simple and scalable Differentiated Services (DiffServ) QoS control model is suitable for the core part of the network, a more explicit, admission and reservation based QoS mechanisms are required in the wireless access segment of the network where the resources available and the levels of traffic aggregation render the DiffServ principles less effective, Integrated Services (IntServ) provides fine-grained service guarantees to individual flows.
