The Federated Identity Management (FIM) is an arrangement that can be made among multiple enterprises that lets subscribers uses the same identification data to obtain access to the networks of all enterprises in the group. The use of such a system is sometimes called identity federation. The Identity Federation is to improve productivity and security while lowering costs associated with managing users and their identities, attributes, and credentials today, many of one have multiple accounts for email, chat services, banking, favorite websites, etc. Many different services that the authors sign up for need a user name and password, so, the problem they face is that they all require, or tell one they need unique identities and passwords for each service.
