The process of networking is linking two or more computing devices together for sharing data using a routing path where link failures are common and the disconnection of link for several seconds creates major data loss and the backup paths are the most used techniques in IP networks for safe guarding IP link from failures. The authors' existing system is a reliable one with the backup path to eliminate the problem of IP link failures by minimizing the routing disruption when IP link fails by maintaining all the routing information in a hash table using the Probabilistically Correlation Failure (PCF) model with a layer mapping approach that is used to quantify the IP link failure.
