This with every passing day, the number of vehicles on the road is increasing rapidly; this causes many problems like road congestion, accidents, etc. One of the most suitable solutions for these problems is Inter Vehicle Communication (IVC). For IVC to work, the vehicles should be smart enough to communicate with neighborhood vehicles even in the absence of any central unit. This approach is only viable if networks are formed spontaneously among moving vehicles and between moving vehicles and some road-side fixed equipment. Such type of networks are knows as Vehicular Ad hoc NETworks (VANETs).
