The Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of a large number of sensor nodes with limited batteries, which are deployed randomly over an area to collect data. Therefore, it is important to minimize energy consumption of each node, which leads to the extension of the life of the network. As many of data that detected could be redundant or not important, optimization for data collection could be a good technique for saving energy in sensor nodes to extend the network lifetime. The authors' goal is to design an intelligent WSN that collects a maximum data and processes them intelligently. To achieve this goal they used a System of Multi-Agent (SMA) to process data, reduce redundancy, eliminate non-useful data and establish cooperation between sensor nodes.
