Inter-Cell Load Balancing Technique for Multi-Class Traffic in MIMO-LTE-A Networks

In LTE network, load imbalance is the crucial issue which needs to be handled in order to exploit most of the benefit from LTE without degrading the throughput. In this paper, the authors have proposed an inter-cell load balancing technique for multi-class traffic in MIMO-LTE-A Networks. First, the authors have proposed a robust load balancing framework to efficiently handle the traffic and also to keep the throughput as high as possible. To detect the overloaded cell, Call Blocking Ratio (CBR) is used as triggering mechanism.
