ISO 9000- 2000: Executive Briefing
Quality of a product refers to the degree of ?value? as perceived by the consumer. In the same way, quality of an organizational system or process is the degree of ?perfection?, which is attained by that particular system or process. It is imperative that organizations give due emphasis to the quality aspect of their products and systems. ISO 9000-2000 is an approach towards enhancing the quality of organizational products, systems, and processes. The paper presents an overview of the aforesaid approach.
