Software development is an activity that needs deeply involved and rich intelligence human brain. But some time due to the absence of proper allocation of right knowledge to right person at right time it may raise many hurdles in the success of software development project. Managing in-house knowledge can bridge the gap and yields far better results. Knowledge Management (KM) is a relatively new concept in which an enterprise consciously gathers and shares its knowledge to further its goals.KM reveals its positive impact on IT industry in many ways. This paper is identifying how better understanding of KM affect software development and how effectiveness of product will tremendously increase.
