In this paper, the authors propose (LDQL) Linked Data Query Language on the web. The novelty of LDQL is that it enables a user to express separately patterns that describe the expected query result, and Web navigation paths that select the data sources to be used for computing the result. As a downside of this expressiveness, they find that for some LDQL queries, a complete execution is not possible in practice. To address this issue, they show a syntactic property based on which systems can identify queries that do not have this limitation.
