Localization in Sensor Network With NYSTROM Approximation
The recent innovations in wireless technology and digital electronics have opened many areas of research in Wireless Sensor Networks. In the last few years these networks have been successfully used in many applications such as localization, tracking, surveillance, battlefield monitoring, structural health monitoring, routing etc. Most of these applications need localization i.e., estimating location information either relative or absolute. In this paper, the authors propose a computationally efficient algorithm namely, Light weight Multidimensional Scaling. This approach takes advantage of Nystrm approximation for estimating location of unknown sensor nodes, using the information of available distances between neighbours and anchors.
