This paper proposes a robust channel estimation algorithm for the OFDMA LTE system. In this paper, the authors nullify the subcarriers in the guard band, which can be used in multipath delay locations. This avoids overlapping of interferer channels and results in highly excellent performance rate and also enables flexible subcarrier allocation with very low complexity. Simulation result shows that the proposed estimator outperforms the conventional channel estimators significantly and allows for supporting high rate users. The estimated signal is equalized in order to provide more prominent result.
