Low-Noise Amplifier Design Using Intermodulation Nulling and Noise Canceling for WiMAX Receivers
A 2.6GHz Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) is designed and implemented in Hybrid Microwave Integrated Circuit (HMIC) using the GaAs pseudo orphic High Electron Mobility Transistors (pHEMTs). An important goal for the design is to achieve high linearity and low noise that are required in WiMAX receivers. The proposed design is based on an intermodulation nulling to enhance the Third-order Inter Modulation Distortion (IMD3) and a noise canceling to improve the Noise Figure (NF). The measured IMD3 achieves 72.4dB at the input power of -11dBm.
