Measurement Based Performance of Reactive and Proactive Routing Protocols in WMN
Wireless mesh network is an advanced form of wireless network. Wireless Mesh networks is the key technology for represent an emerging wireless networking technology that promises wider coverage than traditional wireless LANs and lower development and operation cost than 3G cellular networks. Wireless mesh networks can be implemented with various wireless technologies including IEEE 802.11. Routing is a key factor for transfer of packets from source to destination. That is routing is a process of determining a path between source and destination upon request of data transmission. The authors have discussed the related issues and advantages and disadvantages of reactive and proactive routing protocol in WMNs. In this paper, they mainly presented measurement based performance of reactive protocols and Proactive Protocols in wireless mesh networks.
