Measuring OLSR Performance Factors With Different Scale Networks

Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol is a proactive routing protocol where the routes are always immediately available when needed. OLSR is an optimization version of a pure link state protocol in which the topological changes cause the flooding of the topological information to all available hosts in the network. In this paper a description of the characteristics of Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) as well as the OLS routing protocol. To implement is the OLSR protocol via the MANET, four scenarios were proposed. The scenarios were classified in to three scales; small, medium and large scale Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET) respectively.
