Service providers recognize the importance of the growing business customer segments to their long term success. The business market represents 33 percent of service provider revenues and is expected to grow substantially. Service providers must be able to create and deliver new services quickly and easily in order to capture a large share of the important business market, and to increase their appeal to Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and large enterprise businesses. Many differences exist between the communications requirements of the large enterprise, SMB and Small Office, Home Office (SOHO)/residential markets. The SOHO and residential market typically uses relatively simple services and is rapidly becoming more and more commoditized.
