Wireless Sensor Network (WSNs) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensor nodes from few to several hundreds or even thousands, where each node senses a phenomenon and forwards the sensed data to base station. In this paper the authors try to answer following simple questions: what is anomaly, data fault in WSN, what are the methods, strategies used for detecting WSN anomalies and data faults. Evaluating effectiveness of the discussed methods is beyond the scope of this paper. However this paper gives an over view on WSN anomalies, data fault and their detection methods, strategies.
