Embedded software development is very challenging task in an MPSoC design particularly because it is parallel programming in nature and its verification should be done before building a chip. Software design environment for general purpose software cannot be used since they usually do not consider the design constraints that embedded software should satisfy: real-time constraints, resource constraints, and concurrency. Moreover making a parallel program itself is not an easy task. In this paper, the authors proposed a new design environment, called HOPES, that aids to develop embedded software for MPSoC.
