A dual U-slot Microstrip patch antenna for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) & WI-MAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) applications is presented. The proposed antenna is designed using FR4 substrate having dielectric constant 4.4 and fed through 50 ohm Microstrip line. The patch antenna is designed and simulated in CST microwave studio. The proposed antenna generates the three frequency bands 2.431GHz, 5.16GHz 5.518GHz for WLAN and Wi-MAX. The measured results demonstrate that the proposed antenna has appreciable bandwidth, return loss, VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) and radiation pattern is thus suitable for WLAN and Wi-MAX applications.
