Multiband Microstrip Antenna with Perturbations for Wireless Communication
In this paper, the authors present the design of microstrip antenna with perturbations for applications in wireless communication. The antenna shows good performance while resonating at different frequencies. The antenna is designed on size of 30x30x1.6mm3. The design is achieved by digging square holes on all sides and at center of the square patch. Design and optimization was done using Zeland IE3D simulation software. Results of simulation show that at 1.7GHz, 3.2GHz and 4.7GHz, the antenna has a return loss of -25dB, -27dB and -14dB respectively with reasonably good efficiency and directivity.
