Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is formed by a group of autonomous mobile nodes connected by wireless links, in which there is no backbone infrastructure. Routing in mobile ad-hoc network has been a subject of extensive research over the past several years. Out of the various research issues, this paper focuses on performance of routing protocols, which is an important design issue in mobile ad-hoc networks. The efficient routing protocols can provide significant benefits to mobile ad hoc networks, in terms of both performance and reliability.
