Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that communicates with each other without using any existing infrastructure, access point or centralized administration. Mobile ad-hoc network have the attributes such as wireless connection, continuously changing topology, distributed operation and ease of deployment. In this paper, the authors have compared the energy consumption of reactive, proactive & hybrid routing protocol AODV, DSR, RIP & ZRP by using different mobility model. The authors have analyzed the network lifetime of protocols by varying pay load, mobility, pause time and type of traffic CBR.
