In recent times, different diversity schemes have marked an important impact in the arena of wireless communication systems. The main reason behind this is that these different diversity schemes allow for multiple transmission and/or reception paths for the same signal. One of the optimal diversity combining scheme is the Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) diversity scheme where all the diversity branches are processed to obtain the best possible devised and improved single output that possibly stays above a certain specified threshold.
