The Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) radio bands i.e. 2.4GHz, are the radio bands reserved internationally for the use of Radio Frequency (RF) energy for industrial, scientific and medical purposes. Despite the intent of the original allocation, in recent years the fastest-growing uses of these bands have been for short-range, low-power communication systems. Cordless phones, Bluetooth devices, NFC (Near-Field Communication) devices and wireless networks. Omnidirectional antennas are required to maintain an ease (proper) communication link.
