On-Line Bi-Objective Coverage Hole Healing in Hybrid Wireless Sensor Networks

In a hybrid wireless sensor network constructed by both mobile sensors and static sensors the coverage holes caused by static sensor failure can be healed by relocating the redundant mobile sensors. Existing works on the relocation of mobile sensors to the coverage holes are either built under the metric of minimizing total moving cost or minimizing the maximum moving cost of the mobile sensors. However, there is a conflict between these two metrics and those algorithms are all for the online model of the coverage holes. In this paper, the authors provide an on-line bi-objective coverage hole healing algorithm of the mobile sensors.
